Long Island Board of REALTORS® Leadership Academy Requirements
All Leadership Academy members must commit to actively participating in the program and attend all eight (8) sessions, which include traveling to venues to attend LIBOR’s Education Conference, LIBOR’s Board of Directors Meeting and Appreciation Luncheon, and other scheduled events.
As a Leadership Academy member, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE ON TIME AND ATTEND ALL SESSIONS. The program year begins in February and runs through December, with graduation held in December 2025. Attendance is required at all eight (8) sessions.
Absences, if any, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the current LIBOR Executive Committee, and if approved will require additional assignments for students to be reinstated. It shall be the responsibility of the participant to communicate, in writing, all anticipated and/or actual full or partial-day absences to the staff liaison of the Leadership Academy, along with an explanation of the circumstances. If this expectation is not met, the applicant, after review, may be dismissed from the program with no refund in tuition.
Electronics Policy
There will be an electronics (cell phone, tablets, laptop) round-up before facilitated sessions. The Dean will ask you to put your electronics in a communal basket until break time or leaving time.
Tuition
If accepted into the Long Island Board of REALTORS® Leadership Academy, you will be responsible for the tuition fee of $399, which includes all Leadership Academy sessions and admittance into the LIBOR Education Conference, including all sessions, handout materials, and meals.
You will be billed the tuition fee once you have been accepted into the class. Tuition must be paid within one (1) week of acceptance and is non-refundable.
