Edward S. Smith, Jr., is a NYS licensed Real Estate Broker, specializing in Commercial and Investment Real Estate, with over 39 years of brokerage experience. He previously had his own Brokerage firm and then served as a "Consultant to the Trade".
Ed is an Instructor Training Institute (ITI) graduate and has 13 years experience teaching real estate courses. He teaches regularly for LIBOR, The Westchester-Putnam Association of Realtors, The New York State Commercial Association of Realtors and has taught for many other Boards of Real Estate in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He holds the GREEN Designation and teaches the Green Designation Commercial Elective for NYSAR.
He has developed seven continuing education courses: Commercial & Investment Real Estate: Concepts and Terms; Commercial Real Estate: Tools of the Trade; All About Leases; Real Estate Formulas and Calculations; Selling Commercial and Investment Properties: Issues, Money and Laws; Discrimination Issues in Commercial Real Estate and Green Commercial Buildings: Issues, Systems and Savings. In addition he has authored three textbooks for Dearborn Publishing: "Commercial Real Estate: Listing Properties"; "Commercial Real Estate: Understanding Investments" and "Commercial Real Estate: Smart Marketing Practices". He also "trains the trainers", he developed instructor training materials to accompany these textbooks which have been used to teach commercial courses throughout the United States for the past ten years.
