Join Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) on June 29, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for a live broadcast of the 6th annual nationwide National Real Estate Ethics Day® with world-renowned speaker, coach, and entertainer Leigh Brown!
Leigh will review all 17 articles of the REALTOR Code of Ethics, including all the updates to articles 10-5. Discussions about case studies and what has happened with actual REALTORS® and the public will be included, and a robust conversation will be hosted on the official Facebook group, which NAR's Code of Ethics panel will monitor to make one another stronger.
You will walk away from this class with a better understanding of how you can put the Code of Ethics to work in your day-to-day business to help your community understand the value of a professional REALTOR® and how you are different from your competitors. You will get the tools to use in your listing presentation and the strength to go forward in your community, providing an extra level of real estate service.
NAR's Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code provides that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients' best interests. REALTOR® members must complete 2.5 hours of ethics training, meeting specific learning objectives and criteria, within three-year cycles. Cycle 7 is from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024.
