Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn Stepping Down from State Parks Position

The Setauket Democrat announced Monday, that she is stepping down from the County Legislature to take a position as Long Island Deputy Director for the New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Department. After 12 years representing the Stony Brook, Setauket, and Port Jefferson area - including time as chair of Suffolk’s Environment, Parks, and Agriculture Committee - Legislator Hahn was term-limited at the end of this year. Former State Assemblymember Steve Englebright, a Democrat, and business executive Anthony Figliola, a Republican, were already running to replace Hahn this November. Learn more.
