Washington: HUD Secretary Fudge Resigns, Replaced By Former NAHRO CEO

Mar 12, 2024

"Marcia L. Fudge, the  U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, announced on Monday that she would resign this month after three years,"  reported the New York Times. A longtime member of Congress from Cleveland and a former suburban mayor, Fudge cited her 92-year-old mother as a major part of her reasoning.  Deputy Housing Secretary Adrianne Todmanformer CEO of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), will take over on March 22, 2024. With the impending presidential election, most observers do not expect a new Cabinet role to be announced by the White House and confirmed by the U.S. Senate unless Todman herself is selected.
