Queens Borough Pres. Donovan Richards Talks Big Housing Plans with LIBOR’s Queens Govt. Affairs Committee

This past Monday, LIBOR CEO Doreen Spagnuolo, Secretary/Treasurer Shaan Khan, and members of the Queens Govt. Affairs Committee, led by Chair Rick Greene and Vice Chair Zoila Alonzo - joined Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Jr. to receive a framed proclamation designating April as “Fair Housing Month.” Borough President Richards also sat down with us to discuss his ambitious plans for balancing increased housing opportunities through new projects at Willets Point, Creedmoor, and Arverne East, and rezonings in Downtown Jamaica while working to improve residential quality of life through infrastructure upgrades, support for the houseless, and increased support for homeownership programs to build intergenerational wealth. This conversation marked the next step in an ongoing, constructive engagement with the Borough President and former City Councilmember - a rising star in New York City politics and regional housing policy.
