Last Tuesday, while many LIBOR members were at Crest Hollow for the LIBOR Education Conference & Trade Show, nearly 1,500 real estate brokers and agents rallied at New York City Hall to voice opposition to advancing legislation (Int. 360) that would prohibit the current collection of rental broker fees from a tenant to compensate a landlord’s agent. REALTORS®, including Brian Phillips, Anthony Domathoti, and Melissa Gomez testified on behalf of NYSAR before the City Council's Consumer & Worker Protection Committee to voice their concerns over the bill. NYSAR thanks all the REALTORS® who attended the rally and voiced opposition. You can still take part in NYSAR's Call For Action by sending a message to your local New York City Council Member by clicking here. Read NYSAR’s full testimony here and learn more about NYSAR's take on the issue here. The Associated Press covered the story for global distribution.
