Nassau '25: Legislator Seth Koslow (D) Enters Race for County Exec.

Jan 8, 2025

"Nassau County Legislator Seth Koslow (D-Merrick, Freeport, North Merrick) will be running for county executive. Before becoming a legislator, Koslow served as a Queens County assistant district attorney and started his own legal practice," reported News 12. "Koslow is holding a campaign kickoff event tonight in Westbury and Congressman Tom Suozzi and former County Executive Laura Curran are expected to be there."

"Koslow will likely face Bruce Blakeman (R), who amassed over $1 million in his campaign account as of last August. Chris Boyle, a spokesman for Blakeman, said Blakeman has intentions to run for office but no decision has been made," reported Newsday.

In a press release shared with LIBOR, the Koslow campaign prioritized the following:

Making Nassau County Affordable: Lower property taxes and implement fiscally responsible policies that ease the burden on residents.

Eliminating Waste: End unnecessary legal battles and reduce oversized administrative expenses to ensure public funds are used effectively.

Transparent Governance: Introduce accountability measures to ensure that every dollar is spent with residents’ best interests in mind.

Strengthening Communities: Invest in essential services, infrastructure, law enforcement, and education to improve the quality of life across Nassau County.
