With a new Quinnipiac poll finding Mayor Eric Adams (D) with a 20% job approval rating (the lowest they have ever found for a New York City mayor), former New York Governor and Clinton-era HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo officially launched his long-teased comeback effort to become New York City mayor this past week.
"The former governor, who resigned in 2021 following the release of a report by the state Attorney General that accused him of sexually harassing 11 women, launched his campaign for mayor via a 17-minute video on Saturday, and then in-person at the New York City District Council of Carpenters headquarters on Sunday," reported The Real Deal, which labeled Cuomo's housing plan as "sparse" on detail.
