NYC: Speaker "Adrienne For Mayor" Makes It 10! New "City of Yes" Visuals

Mar 12, 2025

With Crain's Business News calling her "a serious mayoral contender," City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams (D-South Jamaica, South Ozone Park) spoke at her first official campaign rally on Saturday afternoon at the Rochdale Village Shopping Center.

Adrienne Adams rolled out a wide spectrum of endorsements, including State Senator James Sanders (Rosedale), State Assemblymember Brian Cunningham (Crown Heights), City Council Majority Leader Amanda Farías (Soundview), and Council Member Chris Banks (East New York), all of whom support NYSAR-backed co-op transparency bills.

"New Yorkers are fed up, so it's time for us to stand up. New Yorkers deserve a government that is accountable to them," WABC-7 TV reported Speaker Adams saying (no relation to Mayor Eric Adams, with whom she has clashed since supporting him in 2021).

On the policy side, Bloomberg News put out new visuals to explore how local New York City blocks might change as a result of "City of Yes" and "City for All" regulations going into effect.
