Awards. The awards ceremony, held on February 28, 2024, at the Heritage Club in Bethpage, honored outstanding contributions from entrepreneurs, professionals, and visionaries in Long Island's real estate industry, highlighting their community involvement and advocacy efforts.
Kevin Leatherman, a veteran in the industry with over 28 years of licensure, serves as the Broker-Owner of Leatherman Homes in Rockville Centre. His extensive experience and comprehensive knowledge of Long Island's diverse communities and the New York City area have established him as a dynamic leader in today's real estate market. Leatherman's remarkable dedication is exemplified through his active involvement on numerous boards and committees, at the local, state, and national levels, including significant roles within LIBOR, New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR), and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). His commitment to advancing the profession is further demonstrated by his tenure as LIBOR President in 2024 and his previous presidency at Multiple Listing Service of Long Island (MLSLI) in 2013.
Natasha Williams, a seasoned youth educator, business strategist, and instructor, brings over 15 years of experience in finance to her role as Real Estate Broker at Cornelius Group. Williams' passion lies in advocating for accessible homeownership and empowering young adults through financial literacy and real estate education. Additionally, she serves as a NAR Director and actively participates in committees for LIBOR, NYSAR, and NAR. Her profound devotion to community service is evident through her founding of Impactful Lives, a nonprofit initiative aimed at supporting unhoused young mothers by providing tailored programming to address housing inequity and promote self-sufficiency.
CEO Doreen Spagnuolo expressed pride in LIBOR's representation at the R.E.A.L. Awards, stating, "We congratulate Kevin Leatherman and Natasha Williams on this well-deserved recognition.
