Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Lunar New Year Reception on January 27, 2025, celebrating the rich cultural traditions of the Lunar New Year. The event was co-hosted by LIBOR’s Global and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committees, reinforcing the organization's commitment to honoring cultural diversity within the real estate community.
Held at Good Fortune in Flushing—a venue renowned for its authentic Chinese cuisine and welcoming atmosphere—the reception brought together LIBOR members from across Long Island to usher in the Year of the Snake. The evening featured a festive and engaging program, offering members a unique opportunity to connect, celebrate, and experience the spirit of unity and inclusion.
Guests were treated to an exquisite dinner featuring traditional Lunar New Year dishes, and the highlight of the night was a stunning lion dance performance that filled the room with energy and cultural vibrancy.
The strong turnout reflected the growing enthusiasm among members for events that celebrate cultural heritage and foster a more inclusive REALTOR® community. Whether attendees were familiar with Lunar New Year traditions or experiencing them for the first time, the celebration offered a meaningful and memorable experience for all.
