Long Island Board of REALTORS® Hosts 6th Annual Global Breakfast in Celebration of Global Success Month

Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) proudly hosted its 6th Annual Global Breakfast on March 8, 2024, at Terrace on the Park in Corona, NY. This event was held in celebration of Global Success Month, a month-long campaign hosted by REALTOR® Associations nationwide, dedicated to promoting and enhancing global business opportunities for members.

Over 100 attendees had the unique opportunity to network and gain valuable insights from industry experts on expanding their businesses and profiting from global markets while earning continuing education credits. Special presentations throughout the event included "Going Global! Do I Have to Leave Home?" with REALTOR® Linda Lugo, CIPS, offering strategies for identifying and capitalizing on global buyers in New York and navigating transactions with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Another highlight of the event was "Know Your Networks," a segment spotlighting multicultural real estate organizations such as Asian Real Estate Association (AREA), Chinese American Real Estate Association (CAREA), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals® (NAHREP), and National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). Representatives delivered enlightening presentations highlighting their missions and impacts, providing attendees with a broader understanding of these vital networks and their significance in today's real estate landscape.

Lastly, "Navigating Global Real Estate Essentials for Commercial Practitioners" with Brian Woods, CIPS, provided informative perspectives on global economic influences, cross-border legal considerations, and tax implications for international commercial real estate investments.
