Long Island Board of REALTORS® Presents 2013 Community Service Award to Paul Wernersbach

December 6, 2013 - West Babylon, NY - The Long Island Board of REALTORS® Inc. (LIBOR) recognized Realtor® Paul Wernersbach as the recipient of this year’s honorable Community Service Award at their recent Annual Installation and Awards Dinner held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Paul Wernersbach served as a Director of the Long Island Board of REALTORS® for over 14 years.   He is a dedicated member of the Suffolk South Shore Chapter of LIBOR and has been a director for the Chapter since 1995. He has held every office within that Chapter including President from 2008 to 2010.    Paul has served and chaired several LIBOR and MLS committees; he is currently Vice President of the Long Island Federal Credit Union.

Paul’s community involvement is vast. He is President of the Brightwaters Village Business Association and a Director of the Bay Shore Summit Council, the Bay Shore Impact Forum and Keep Islip Clean. For numerous years, Paul has served as President of WLO (Wives, Lovers and Others) Bowling League.

A devoted member of his Lions Club in Bay Shore since 1995, Paul served two terms as President.  Most recently he was Zone Chair, overseeing several clubs in Suffolk County, and then District Governor, responsible for all the Lions Clubs in Suffolk.  To raise money for both, the Lions Eye Bank and Eye Foundation ,Paul co-chairs “A Taste for Sight”, the Club’s largest fund raiser.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, the father of three and grandfather of four. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Rochelle, a partner in his company, for 35 years before widowed in 2004. He met his fiancée, Joy through his volunteer work at the Eye Bank; Joy is now a Realtor® working with Paul.

Paul is a proud Realtor®, true humanitarian, and well deserving of this award.
