Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) today launched the next phase in its Home For All Of Us fair housing campaign, this time addressing the REALTOR® commitment to ensuring people can choose where they live no matter their race or color.
LIBOR is a 30,000-member not-for-profit trade association that serves real estate professionals throughout Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties. It is one of the largest local REALTOR® Boards in the United States.
“Fair housing is a core principle of LIBOR and our members,” said LIBOR CEO Doreen Spagnuolo. “REALTORS® must be agents of positive change in the housing market, and that is why we are adding to the resources we provide to help them deliver on the fair housing promise.”
The newly released LIBOR resources include:
“Given the many ways that discrimination based on race and color have shaped the history and housing patterns of Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties, we acknowledge that this effort will require a long-term commitment — and we are dedicated to delivering on that commitment,” said Spagnuolo.
LIBOR launched its Home for All of Us effort in 2022 and has previously produced resources to reduce housing discrimination based on source of income and disabilities. All LIBOR resources are available on the Home For All of Us website, and LIBOR is sharing them with government officials, community groups, and others to further demonstrate the REALTOR® commitment to fair housing.
Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) is a not-for-profit trade association and the fourth-largest local REALTOR® board in the United States, with approximately 30,000 members. Since 1910, LIBOR has served real estate professionals in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties seeking career advancement, community engagement, homeownership advocacy, and unwavering professional standards.
